The Negative Side

One of the most concerning criticisms that customers made about the product are related to the power output. There are several reviewers who’ve found out that the power output of their units doesn’t satisfy the advertised rate of 60 W. They have also reported inconsistent results when measuring this amount. Such reports are quite concerning and must be investigated before making a purchase.

Another displeasure is about the quality of the materials of the product.  Reviewers have reported that its plastic construction seems somewhat cheap. Moreover, most of them suggest that you had better go and purchase your own set before starting set up the kit properly.

The product doesn’t come with batteries and that’s a dissapointment for the customers, as well.

The Positive Side

Despite the negative feedbacks above, most of the Sunforce 50048 Charging Kit users are satisfied with the product.

Customers who have found that their units have produced more power than was advertised by the manufacturer are pleased that they own the kit.  One reviewer noted that they were able to charge an entire car battery in one single winter day while it was cloudy. This reviewer also discussed the importance of keeping the unit clean for optimal results and suggests cleaning the panels once a month. This finding may account for the negative feedback that we discussed previously.

Other positive feedbacks generally includes the following issues:

  • better value than the other solar installments in terms of dollars per watts has pleased many.
  • easy to assemble.
  • saves you money on electricity and reduces your carbon footprint.

Here is a review of a user:

I bought three of these kits kits for a total of twelve panels. I use them to charge two 115 amp hour marine batteries. The panels seem to bring the batteries up to full charge (green light on) even though the panels are only in direct sunlight for about two hours a day. There are plenty of different connecters for a varity of hookups. The only thing I didn’t like was the cheap plastic stand that comes with it. I threw mine out and made a good one out of 1 1/2″ angle iron that is 14′ long with twelve panels in a row, looks impressive too. Now I’m wondering what I could do with another twelve panels, these things are addictive!  (B.Freeman from Amazon)
